About Ella
Ella is a small town in Badulla District of Uva Province in Sri Lanka and is governed by a municipal council. Located approximately 200 km east of Colombo, its altitude is 1041 meters above sea level. The area is rich in biodiversity with tea plantations, hills, waterfalls and the best air to breathe. Nine Arch Bridge
One of the most special thing that adds beauty to Ella mountain village is this 30 meter high, 91 meter length and 7.62 meter wide huge 9-arched bridge. After a short 30-minute walk through the forest will bring you this beautiful architecture, hidden among lush green tea plantations. It is one of the best examples of railway construction during the colonial period in the country.
It is allowed to walk on the bridge and it is a one of thing that must do in Sri Lanka to make a memorable journey.
Little Adam’s Peak
Ella is a major trekking destination in the hill station of Sri Lanka.
